Connected STEM
Texas A&M held a workshop for 12 junior high and high school teachers. The workshop provided instruction in the engineering design process, computer-aided design, 3D printing, the Internet of things, and electronics and communications content. Teachers from 8 schools participated.

The SEAD Academy in Bryan, Texas held the first ITEST summer camp in June 2017. The camp featured a smart home building competition that incorporated both IoT and 3D printing. Nine junior high school students participated.

Four professors in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University are part of a three-year National Science Foundation Innovative Technology Experiences for Students and Teachers grant that includes Blinn College.
